Our Mission
ConwayUP is a local support program created by Conway students and educators to help identify students who may be a strong fit for college scholarships and opportunities β and to walk alongside them through the process.
Who We Are
Founded by Caroline Chrysler and Joshua Mendoza, both Class of 2026 students at Conway High School, ConwayUP emerged from a simple realization: too many qualified students miss out on life-changing scholarships simply because they don't know about them or find the application process overwhelming.
What We Do
We connect high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds with full scholarship opportunities at colleges across the nation. Our goal is to increase access to higher education for students who may not realize how much opportunity is available to them.
Our Approach
Through partnerships with local businesses and community members, we're working to raise $25K+ in pledged Boost Grants β an investment that we believe can unlock over $1 million in existing scholarships for Conway students. We pay students for completing college applications because we recognize that the overwhelming maze of paperwork is often the biggest barrier to accessing these life-changing opportunities.
We provide guidance, resources, and support throughout the entire application process β from identifying opportunities to submitting applications and securing financial aid.
Students in Arkansas public or private high schools. Income limits vary by program: QuestBridge typically under $65K AGI (Adjusted Gross Income), Arkansas programs range from $60K to $100K AGI depending on the specific university. Check individual program pages for exact requirements.
No. QuestBridge is test-flexible but highly competitive. State promise programs often require only a 19 ACT (or SAT equivalent) and a solid GPA.
High grades help, but many last-dollar grants focus on financial need and basic academic readinessβnot perfection.
Every program requires the FAFSA; some add the CSS Profile, the Arkansas Challenge form, or school-specific docs. We post step-by-step checklists for each path.
Local businesses and community members pledge $250 Boost Grants to reward Conway students who complete every required application. These grants help students overcome the final barriers to accessing life-changing opportunities. Awards are paid only after ConwayUP verifies 100% completion of all required forms. Currently 10 grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We're working to raise additional funds for more students.
Never. We're a volunteer effort connecting Conway students to scholarships and local sponsorship pledges.
We are working to partner with a qualified non-profit to ensure all pledges are tax deductible. We will provide updates on tax status before requesting pledge payment.
100% of pledged funds go directly to students as Boost Grants or to cover necessary processing fees. No money is saved or held back - our goal is to award every dollar raised.
